Dying Fetus - War Of Attrition

--In brief--
The first full length in 4 years from the once very productive Dying Fetus, though the band has been through a lot of line-up changes and has played a hell of a lot live around the world, and perhaps a little break from writing music, was needed to get a fresh album done.
So what do our favourite merchants of grooving, heavy and blasting death metal bring us, here in the year 2007? Yet a slap of heavy and grinding death metal, great grooves, an energetic and intense performance of death metal, no holds barred. It is easy to hear that it is Dying Fetus from the very first blast, John Gallagher has the band where he wants it to be, and it all reek of his song writing and sense of grooves and breaks mixed with sheer brutality and technical elements.
It is not the best Dying Fetus album, nor the most original, but a great hard hitting death metal album you can't go wrong with, if you're into the style and in particular this band.
