--In brief--

Are you ready for a blackened thrash attack? If not, seek cover, as the Swedes in Bewitched have started an all out attack on humanity once again. This is the band's fifth full length album and one I've been looking forward to hear, after the splendid "Rise Of The Antichrist" from 2002.

Bewitched is still Bewitched, harsh and raw thrashing black metal, intense and with a good flow in the songs. The songs on this album is a tad longer than what we usually have seen from the band, and that is both good and bad, the band is good at writing songs, though at times, the songs simply becomes too long for their own good, it would often have worked better with a faster and more efficient slap of metal. Though the doomy epicness is a nice variation on the more or less secure recipe the band so far has used.

This is classic Bewitched with a few new additions, we still have the great and skull crushing dark guitar work, pummelling drumming, smashing bass and the harsh and spiteful vocals, and of course killer thrash anthems, give "Spiritual Warfare" a spin at the dealers place, before you decide if it deserves a spot on the shelf besides the first albums from the band.
