A new Danish band is on the rise, the name is Spectral Mortuary, you better note that name, because you'll get to hear a lot more from this gang in the future. Spectral Mortuary is delivering old school and mother fucking brutal death metal delivered without a sight of mercy.

A heavy bottom, a good groove here and there, pace shifts en masse, great guitar leads and a haunted growl are the essence of this band and their music. If you aren't aware, you'll be trampled under cloven hoof, this album will hit you like a fist in the face. The intense brutality is present from the first track, to the last, which is the most quiet one, mostly due to the lack of vocals, a quiet piece to leave the world of Spectral Mortuary with, before entering reality again. Because you are going to soak into the music, if it first catches you, it'll might not happen the first or the third time you'll give "From Hate Incarnated" a spin, though after a few repeated listens, it'll get there and make the experience somewhat more complete.

The song writing is done well, the songs catches on even though the music and expression is very brutal, the music is also well varied, so one won't grow tired of it immediately. The musical performance are also well executed, there are some great guitar work, the bass is loud and wicked and the drumming hard and pounding and the vocals always in your face.

If you enjoy a good death metal album now and then, then is this the album for you, a good and hard hitting effort, that shows some potential from this band, a fist in the face and a hurtful neck after 'banging away for the half hour "From Hate Incarnated" last. You won't find anything new under the sun here, just good old and well performed death metal straight in your face!
