This rather new Norwegian band took me by surprise, with their debut 7” release ”Bringing Down The Neighbourhood Average”. Noisy and raw punk/rock with lots of “fuck you” attitude and balls.

The time has now come to their second release, the mini album “Hate”, released on CD, and there should be a vinyl version in the works. Once again it took me by surprise, though this time because I didn’t knew it was going to be released.

Bomberos continues where they left with their first release. Catchy, raw and noisy punk rock. Very simple, but yet very effective and neckcrushing guitar riffs. Uptempo beats, but still simple drumming, though Beinhard tries to go out of the ordinary, and well he does when considering the style. The composition of the tracks is very good, it is hard to keep the feet still, when listening to this new batch of old school punk rock. The band does also hit the right atmosphere, both composition wise, but also with the sound of the instruments and the raw and dirty production.

The only thing which can be said, is that many may have a hard time to get into the vocals from Kølla Kristiansen. Though after some listens it gets in there, and then it won’t go away. He delivers a really distinctive and rather non-fitting vocal, though in time, it gets to fit right in there, with the rest of the madness.

I think the material on this release is a tad better than the material on the debut 7”. It sounds more worked through and catchy, even though it still is harsh and raw as hell. My personal favourite tracks are ‘Barbed Wire Lobotomy’ and ‘Honeymoon In Hell”, though the rest of the tracks kicks effective ass too. And I think it is both good and bad that the release isn’t longer than 9 minutes. It would be killer to hear more from the band, though I reckon it works best in small doses, and this dose works as it should, so fuck you!
