Are you ready for a hellish metallic rock n' roll attack? If not, do as the last words on this album command "Piss Off!" This is the debut album of Chrome Divison, the band consisting of Shagrath, who most of you should know from Dimmu Borgir, Luna from Ashes To Ashes, Eddie Guz from The Carburetors, Tony White from Minas Tirath and lastly Ricky Black.

As written earlier, this band is about rock n' fucking roll, a hellish dirty attitude is kicked in our faces, while the catchy guitar riffs head out the highway and the galloping rhythms keep the pace stomping. The vocals from Guz are the highlight of the album, his raw voice and present "wild kid" attitude fuels the raw atmosphere and brings a lot of energy to the album. He has an immense attitude that drags one into the album and keeps ones attention nailed to what happens during the 12 tracks.

Musically there isn't that much to come after in "Doomsday Rock 'N Roll". There are the occasionally good riff, though a lot of catchy structures and some good guitar leads as well. Though this is based on plain catchy ass kicking rock, and the music doesn't step much out of those boundaries, which both is good and bad. The rhythm section is stable, and the drumming is actually quite good and varied, it has at least caught my attention several times while listening through the album.

If you're looking for a good deal of rocking metal, Chrome Division will be right up your alley. After a couple of spins, you'll catch yourself singing along to the choruses while tapping the foot and downing beers and Jack Daniels straight of the bottle. The music is good for partying, though it tends to slide into the background when listening, there are good details to be found here and there, the guitar play together with the good vocal effort, lifts the album above average, though I am sure the 5 guys in the band can make some better and longer lasting compositions than the ones displayed on this album, even though they apparently only are doing this for the fun and kick of the music.
