I was one of the many that literally was blown away by Swedish Gadget's first assault of harsh grindcore, the release "Remote" which saw the light of day 3 years ago. Though now has Willam Blackmon again gathered his horde and are ready to unleash hell upon mankind.

Once again we are treated to an all out blitzkrieg attack from the start to the end, with a break or 2 with doomy pieces and atmospheres. Grinding guitar riffs delivered with an insanely pace, nicely varied with small melodic leads, spicing things up. Inspired and hellish riffing, ripping and furious, with a nice technical touch. The heavy and powerful bass is swell as well, the sound of it is huge and trembles right behind the aggressive guitars, it mostly follows the rhythm with lethal pounds to the stomach. The drumming is insane, the speeds that William blasts off gives meaning to the term "blast beat", damn he hits it off right on, together with varying the pace and patterns pretty good. The vocals are a good head on furious attack of hate and loathing as well, fitting the concept of Gadget’s extreme grindcore very well.

Composition-wise the album is very clever, even though the music is delivered with hellish speeds most of the time, there are good hooks and small technical details and wicked breaks, that makes one identify the single tracks, and the variation of the songs does also do a lot for the recognition of the songs and helping one not getting lost during the inferno.

Gadget has grown as a band and has made a more complete album, with some more variation compared to the debut and they are heading straight towards the top of the current grindcore scene, there can’t be much doubt about that. Furious grindcore with a great technical touch, and cold and nihilistic atmospheres once in a while, aggressive, cold and straight in your face, consider yourself warned!
