Panzer Storm is a relatively new Greek band, this is their first demo, which was released last year. It's a CDr containing 4 tracks, 1 intro, 1 outro and 2 "real" songs, the whole show lasts 5 minutes. Even though that doesn't seem like much time to make a point in, Panzer Storm makes their point really effectively with the 2 tracks 'Antichrist War Machine' and 'Death, Sodomy And War', 2 crushing pieces of fast black metal, with some good death metal influences.

The guitars are hitting it off in a noisy way, delivering chainsaw riffs, cutting through bones and marrow. The raw and noisy guitar track induces darkness, evil and brutality and supports the war theme the band uses very well, the fast and brutal riffing feels like being run over by an Abrams M1, even though I actually haven't tried that stunt, yet! On top of the noisy main riffs, there are a couple of good wicked leads, that spread the waters as well, really good and crushing guitar work. The drumming is programmed and can't be slated as the most original or varied. Though the straight ahead pummelling and quite artificial drum sound fits the cold and inhumanly universe of Panzer Storm quite well. The vocals are the pure highlight of the band, the sick and tormented scream is fitting and lifting the atmosphere above the competitors and show us that they mean serious business. A good blend of a sick scream and a tortured guttural growl, both fitting the music and atmosphere really well.

The compositions are good and mix brutal death metal greatly with fast and blazing black metal, there are some nice and noisy leads and the main riffs are great and repulsive, but still keeps the listener caught in the web of Panzer Storm. The Greek duo delivers a good slab of war metal on this demo, and if they keep the insanity and brutality up to par, they'll get on to release some good albums and continue the legacy left behind from bands as Blasphemy and Bestial Warlust to mention 2. The sparse use of samples are well used as well and adds to the overall war atmosphere as well, the only thing left behind to wish for is some more tracks, but I guess they will surface in time.
