Scaffold is a new Danish band hailing from Ribe, a bunch of newcomers to the game of playing metal, as the only one who has been in a band before Scaffold got together, is the singer, who also haunts us with Descensus. Ribe is known for having spawned a good bunch of respectable thrash bands through the years, and Scaffold has a thrashy scent over their music as well, the music which best can be described as a high-fuelled bastard of melodic thrash and trucker-rock with big balls.

The band delivers an energetic and intense cocktail of rocking and thrashing metal tunes, the originality in the music can be in a very small container, though the fierceness and the will the band has, shines over all and pushes the music out of the speakers and into the room, where a party soon will take form. As written, the music is very intense and a lot of the present intensity comes from the energetic guitar play. The riffs are good and possess a lot of energy, very driven and catchy. A good blend of classic thrashy heavy metal riffs, on a rock n' roll backbone, serving as the perfect bottom for the thrashing. The rhythm section delivers good groovy and chugging beats, good and fitting rhythms which keep the music going all the time. The vocals are okay, a calm growl, which fits the overall sound picture well, though not that exciting. A good thing about the vocals is the good pronunciation, the lyrics can be followed throughout the 3 tracks and who wants to miss harsh truths as: "A bottle of whiskey, so the girl seems pretty"…

Scaffold is an exciting acquaintance, they deliver their bastard trucker metal in a good fashion, gripping and energetic, I can only imagine how well this will work live, it's perfect to deliver on stage, though I still have that experience in wait. The songs are delivered straight ahead without much shit, pure rocking metal with a lot of diesel and gasoline in the mix, it's clear that Scaffold isn't here to make a revolution, but just to deliver some good music and that task is accomplished! So let us polish our throttles and get them high in the air!
