This is the debut full length from this Swedish heavy metal band. And when I write heavy metal, I mean heavy metal. This is heavy metal the way it was meant to be, precise and razorsharp riffs, melodic leads, ripping solos and a siren of a singer.

There isn't for many pennies worth news under the sun on this album, this is as classic as anything can be. Good and catchy compositions showing us all what metal is about. The catchy guitar work grips one from the start of the album, and keeps ones attention hooked in the music. There are some good mainriffs and some great riff progression here and there. There are some very good melodies included in the music as well, and some of the leads and solos are killer as well. The ultimate highlight on the album is the vocal, damn Oscar Carlquist knows how to use his lungs to full extent. He has a high and mighty scream, which pierces the air and makes heads turn. His powerful vocals on top of the just as powerful music are a really good match. He even handles the quiet songs well and the alternation between the calmer and more soulful vocal and the high tones are great.

The compositions are built in a very classical and traditional heavy metal manner, though the music is delivered very powerful and energetic and that is what makes the album interesting. There are quite some hours worth of headbanging present on the album, and I can only imagine how much the band will kick ass live. The rhythm section needs a little praise as well, the drums and bass are playing very well together and lays a perfect backbone for the rest of the music. The rhythms do their work and keep a good drive to the music and move the songs forward in a good and steady pace. The production of the album is decent, a good, heavy, well-weighed production that suits the music well, and more or less pushes it out of the speakers and brings it more energy than it already possesses, and that's quite lot. The instruments do also come through clear and each instrument sound well and all are placed well in the mix.

If you need some fresh traditional heavy metal in your collection, then this album will rock your world. It's a good album the Swedish band here has made, it offers a lot of joy. This band together with Wolf could be what will move traditional heavy metal on, both bands deliver their metal really well, still with Wolf in the leading role, though they have had some more time to perfect their trade, I have a feeling of they soon will feel the breath from RAM on their necks.
