Dutch death metallers Prostitute Disfigurement made a hard attack on all other bands delivering brutal and blood-drenched death metal, with their last album "Deeds Of Derangement" from 2003, an album taking their music a big step up from their good debut album "Embalmed Madness" and an album that showed us all, how brutal gore-death metal could be delivered effective and hard-hitting without getting boring. The time has now come to the band's 3rd album, their first for the Dutch label Neurotic Records.

Once again, it is as expected from the band. Pummelling songs, which steam-trains over the listener, leaving one behind without breath and severe neck-aches. The brutality in the music is unmatched and the drive in the songs is extreme, the music is always pushed forward either by the effective guitar riffs or by the blasting drums. The guitar work is good, not that much out of the expected to be honest, though there are some really good riffs and moments, and the technique the guitarists' show, they have fitted perfectly into the brutality of the music. The drumming is insane as always, going from one blast to the other, then speeding it further up, to deliver a wicked break, to blast on, amazing and a treat to listen to. The insane vocals from Niels are enjoyable as well, a guttural and ugly as fuck growl, combined with a bit of a higher and insane growl, again very fitting for the universe of Prostitute Disfigurement.

The production of the album is good as well, as the material. It is at the infamous Studio Excess where bands as Sinister, Severe Torture and Disavowed to mention a few have created havoc. A dark and kind of complex sound, which fits the material really good, and especially throughout the fast passages with blasting drums, guitar solos and growls, it all are presented pretty clear, quite an achievement.

Yet a slaying effort from the Dutch band, if they keep it up at this level, not even the sky will be the limit. Brutality straight in your face, blood and gore, technical details and drumming from beyond this world. This is death metal for all those who like it a bit more brutal than brutal, a perfect soundtrack to an aggressive night of blood, gore and headbanging. And the intermezzo 'In Death’s Decay', before the last gut-wrenching track 'Bloodlust Redemption' is a good and dark ambient piece, with a killing atmosphere. Though I still consider their last effort "Deeds Of Derangement" a tad better than this record to be honest, but this is still better than the most!

Rating: 8½/10
