Arrrgghhh, yet a blasting Dutch overly brutal death grind attack, what do they have in their water down there? There is a pure invasion of hellish and gore-laden more brutal than thou death metal bands from Holland going on, and damn most of it is of a high quality. This is the debut album from this band, which initially was named Bloodcum and formed back in 2000, though now in a new incarnation they are ravaging our minds, as the just as saying name Arsebreed, the band is the home for 2 of the now disbanded Pyemia members. A member from Disavowed and a member from Mangled are slaying their way through the undead together with mainmen Daan and Pranger as well.

Good, hard-hitting and brutal death metal, with a technical edge, obvious influences from the technical US death metal scene, though still with a strong reek of personality. The first listen to the music is very bulldozer alike, running fast and relentless over the listener, leaving one back without breath and the question about what hit one, though at the second listen to the album, it starts to open up and one catches on the riffs, catchy details and brutal blast beat drumming. As the amount of spins get more, the more details get revealed as the great and ear-ripping solos there are displayed, the good technical and twisted breaks and the dual-vocal attack from Robbe K and Floris, 2 brutal and punishing vocals, a harsh and frustrated, more or less screamed growl and a guttural an evil as fuck growl, both adding to the atmosphere when telling their tales of sexual depravity and gore.

As you most likely have figured out now, at least if you know your death metal, the assault that Arsebreed delivers, isn't that far off from what we have heard a lot during the last 5 years from a heap of bands from around the world. Though the Dutchmen have a charm and a good way of displaying their metal, they have a great drive and seldom loses momentum, they keeps on grinding and keeps their level of relentless brutality high. This one of the more interesting releases within this subgenre, that has been released recently and is a good buy for all you death metal heads out there, no remorse no regrets… lets grind relentless ahead!... And add a lot of technical passages and wickedness to make it interesting…
