I wasn't aware of the Massacre Records sub label Swan Lake, before I received this album, by the American singer/songwriter Tamrah Aeryn. The style is quite unusual to me and these pages, due to it being alternative rock/pop, not something I tend to use much time on.

The songs are very catchy and kind of enchanting as well. They cling on with the first listen, even though they easy are forgot when the album stops. The music is very light and emotive, a very calm and soothing album. Topped off with the great voice of Tamrah. She knows how to sing, a great catchy vocal, very soft and pleasant to listen to.

The music is not more than the foundation for the vocals. It is pretty boring at times, too calm and simple. There are some good piano play long the way though. It is not an album you should buy due to the music, but due to the great vocals on top of it.

Even though there are some good moments along the way on the album, it ends up pretty boring in the end. There are too much of the same sounding spheres on it. The compositions and atmospheres on them doesn't differ that much. But some nice rock/pop material with a bit of folk influences and a nice vocal, is what you get if you purchase this album. As the title suggest, Tamrah is a typical girl, and typical can be used about her music as well.
