Fury, hailing from Australia is about ready with their new and 3rd album "Forbidden Art", which will be released in the fall this year. Until then and to create some havoc, the band recorded a bunch of cover tunes and threw this album out to us this album.

A thrash metal band paying tribute to other thrash metal bands and a couple of heavy metal band, this sounds like something one could use. Classics by Testament, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Megadeth, Slayer, Metallica and Sepultura are getting fury-ized on this album, nothing to say but bang that head!

The tracks are pretty close to the originals, hard hitting and straight in your face. There are very much energy present on the album, the music is thrown out of the speakers and into the room. The production is powerful and leaves much room to the single instruments, it sounds really good. The vocals are the most stand out element on the album, it is always hard to hit the right notes and voices, though the performances by Mick O'Neil are great, mostly sounding like a like a raw James Hetfield, back when he sounded like he should. Mick is also getting pretty close to Mustaine as well, together with the vocals on 'Slave New World', impressive. The twin guitar attack by Ricky Boon and Darren McLennan are very powerful and effective as well.

This is Fury paying tribute to their heroes, no holds barred. This is straight ahead well played metal madness. The production is good and powerful, the selection of tracks is great as well. So if you're a fan of the mentioned bands and the following tracks are among your favourites:'Eerie Inhabitants', 'The Evil That Men Do', 'Tornado Of Souls', 'Creeping Death', 'Slave New World', 'Mandatory Suicide' and 'Jawbreaker', then this album will make you happy. Now we just have to wait for the band to get on the road and deliver this album live!
