This Greek black metal band is now ready with its first demo release. When I say Greek black metal, there are maybe quite a few who shivers and already stops to read. Though if you like black metal, do yourself the favour and read this review to its end.

The music is very raw and maybe not as inspired as one could wish. The base is a very raw guitar which delivers a couple of good riffs, bordering to the boring. The variation of the riffing isn't that big, and that is a shame. The production isn't the best either, and especially the guitar sound is very thin and fragile. Some more depth in the production and behind the guitar would have done miracles. The couple of times the bass gets out of its hiding, it's big and noisy and gives a nice break from the cold guitar. If the band could make the bass play together with the guitar and use that as a bottom, the overall impression would have been more hard hitting. The programmed drums are quite bad and not very present on the mix, they are going fast forward without much variation of the pace.

The atmosphere on the album is good, Almighty Sathanas has hit something right there. Cold and dark with an eerie tone of evil. The compositions are as such okay as well, though not far of what there has been done in the past by many bands. But the atmosphere together with the really wicked vocals, brings forth a hope for the future for this one-man band. Some more individualism over the compositions, a better production and some better drum-programming, then Almighty Sathanas would be on the right path. This is as such an okay demo, displaying a young band in the start face; this is something the real underground black metal aficionados could enjoy.
