Wauv, what the hell is this? Was my initial thought when I started to listen to "Big Fat Box Of Shit". This American trio, if we count the drumming dog Cain as a member (even though his performance is being helped on the way by a drum machine), deliver a really far out attack of great sarcastic and offending metal blended with many other elements.

Imagine heavy Slayer riffing, mixed up with some hardcore extravaganza, hillbilly rock, pure death metal attacks, grindcore assaults, some jazz here and there and a bit of hip hop. Growls, clean singing, rap, and yeah mention a vocal style and it is most likely represented on this album. The blend is very strange indeed, but due to the clever and good song writing the mix works. This is not your ordinary metal album, this far off that path. Pure entertainment and some good laughs are what this album offer.

Musically there are some good moments as well. Great grindcore outlashes, there's a great Obituary sounding part, with Tardy sounding growls and all, all the great thrashy Slayer riffing and so on. The vocal efforts are great as well, varied as hell and some of them do sound good. There is some interesting guitar work, and the drum programming is good as well. But the highlight is the compositions and the great arrangements.

Drop this bomb in your player and take a trip to Williamsburg, the place of mammal sauce, big trucks, anal sex and lots of other more offensive acts. A well written story, that are better entertainment than most sarcastic/funny TV shows. This album with all its offensive elements and even more offensive lyrics, which of course are printed in the booklet for your pleasure. From the start to the finish, where we get an insight in the band's hate mail, this is a merchant for laughter and even more laughter. This album is quite hard to describe due to all the various elements, the best thing would be to hunt down a couple of tracks and give them a listen. Though one thing is for sure, this is a love or hate album, and I find it hilarious!
