Evil Incarnate is a hateful death metal band from the States, band leader Michael Eisenhauer is a man who stands by his opinions and he knows how he wants his metal. Old school with a hellish groove, thundering drums, punishing bass and vocals from the pits of hell. I got into the band when I got their first label release "Blood Of The Saints", which is a compilation of the band's 2 demos, released by DeathGasm Records. Later followed Evil Incarnate's first full length album "Blackest Hymns In God's Disgrace", also released by DeathGasm Records, and later licensed to Europe through Morbid Records. Again strong death metal thundering and spewing forth bile against the church. 4 years since that release have now passed and the band is ready with their new release "Waiting For His Return", which first was meant as a demo, but more material was added, and when the American label Hells Headbangers Records showed interest in releasing the album, it got full length status. The album is now on the streets and to hear what was going on in the Evil Incarnate camp, I hooked up with Michael Eisenhauer.

Hails, how are things in America these days?

Not so good man. If you are of white European descent you are these days being treated as a weakling despite our great history as the world's strongest race of peoples to have ever waged war upon the lands. The reason the sports here are dominantly made up of blacks, is partly due to lower testing scores to get into colleges and universities, lower testing is also accepted for law enforcement and military here because of affirmative action. The blacks here treat you as if you must bow down and kiss the ground they walk, we owe them nothing for what happened in American history, and we conquered this land with our Euro blood... If you notice a majority of American TV is geared towards making white youth feel inferior unless they mimic black rap stars and TV celebrities, although this is not true, the Jewish controlled media purvey this image constantly, hoping race mixing will become ever more rampant and eventually breed us completely out over time! On top of that our government thinks it can rule the world in the name of Israel and this is why we are so hated in the world, this is not the way most Americans want to use our tax dollars but we have no choice, elections are rigged.

Will you please start off by introducing yourself and tell us why you deal with anti-christian death metal?

This band is my propaganda tool to promote these ideas to our youth. Christianity is the biggest joke ever to hit humanity and must come to an end.

You are ready with your new album "Waiting For His Return", is it good to finally have new material out?

Yes I am very happy to finally have this release come to the world, I am like a child with a new toy when I get the first CD copies in, and my family and friends join me in my joy. This is what I love to do more than anything else and it is my life's obsession, this brutal and extreme metal we all enjoy. I could have played in trendy shit radio bands years and years ago chasing the mighty dollar and Mtv star status but FUCK THAT POSER SHIT!!!

What do you expect from the new album?

I have a lot of expectations from this album for sure but mostly I expect this album to become yet another kult release, but that is up to the fans and media to accomplish.

How have the reactions to the album so far been?

Reactions are coming in slowly, but have all been very positive. Hells Headbangers are a very small indie company, so it is to be expected they have limited capabilities, but it is starting to get around slowly but surely. All of the responses have been very good and that is actually surprising to be honest, considering the occasional anti-semitic lyric. I want to mention here that Hells Headbangers do not share this view, but respect my personal opinions.

What would you like to accomplish with the album?

I want to awaken the Aryan pride within our European blood brothers and sisters. I also want to use this release as my professional CD to send to future potential labels in hopes of a larger deal. I think good potential new homes would be labels like Moribund Records, From Beyond Productions/Displeased Records or Osmose Records, something big like this for the kind of extreme music we play. I'll let you know as soon as I am successful in my hunt. If I don't get a bigger home due to my lyrics and views in interviews I'll just release the next CD myself .

Do you think it will reach the same cult status as your other releases?

I hope so, that is part of my master plan!

The recording sessions happened over 2 periods of time, winter 2004, and summer 2004, why is that?

The reason is we recorded a demo to find a new label-home, but I was having nothing but problems getting anything done with my ex-guitarist Rob Rigney whom I eventually had to kick out. Due to his personal life getting in the way of everything, like missing practice etc. So eventually because of kicking him out I decided I would re-locate my family to Florida. Before moving from Chicago to Florida my drummer Garrett Scanlan was upset over all this, and rightfully so, and I hadn't spoken with him for several months as well. Upon making the decision to move I also decided that I needed to get some type of a release out there for the fans, this is why I decided on Hells Headbangers to get "Waiting For His Return" out, while I get my personal life and band back together. Though we needed to have the title track on the CD of course, so I hired Shaun LaCanne (Putrid Pile) to do some drum programming and I performed all other duties. We also added the 2 covers (Slayer 'Piece By Piece' and Destruction 'Tormentor') and 'Terror In The Holy Land (9-11)' to make it a full length album.

Now I am back in Chicago as Florida did not work out well enough for me and Garrett. And I am looking for Rob's replacement as we speak, so we can get to work on the next album and shows. I’m not satisfied with the way the new release came about with different recording sessions, and there are 2 songs that never made it on the CD due to everything, but all is going to be ok, I'll make up for it next time.

On the winter 2004 recordings you have guest vocals performed by Rich Lipscomb of Fleshgrind, Shaun LaCanne of Putrid Pile, and Scott Creakmore of Lupara and ex-Broken Hope, Shaun does also deliver drum-programming on one track, how did all that come about?

We are all friends and I had invited Rich to the studio to do back ups on separate occasions. Shaun had been there on another occasion hanging out with me and sharing many beers. Scott is the owner of the studio and he is also a good vocalist for this brutal music, so we had him do back ups too. It's always a great time to go over to Rich's or see him at shows and hang out, or go to the recording studio Mercenary Digital and have some beers with Scott and his new band that practices there. Lupara which has members of Num Skull and Broken Hope. Shaun the from ultra kick ass band Putrid Pile and I usually get together here at my place and start getting trashed before we go there and party. We are the only 3 bands around here, besides a couple nerdy trendy ones, that think they're all going to be the next big rock stars. So I don't hang with these types very often, I prefer hanging out with true metal heads as myself and the likes like Fleshgrind, Lupara, and Putrid Pile!!!

Which of the 2 recording sessions are you most satisfied with?

I am definitely most satisfied with the title track of the album on the last recording session. My vocals came out the way I have been trying to get them for years, and it was great getting to do the guitar tracks myself.

You are the main composer of the band, how do you get inspired to write music?

Usually when I'm all alone and have been a little angry for some reason, and listening to classic releases from our death metal scene usually Swedish or European bands in nature, is when I create the most.

Has there been anything specific that has inspired your music this time?

Besides the same old formula I have been listening to a lot of hatecore, black metal, NSBM, and hardcore bands, more than I usually did in my past.

Which persons and bands have meant the world to your way of writing music and the sound of Evil Incarnate?

I was into the death metal since before it got huge in '89 and before that I was big into stuff like VoiVod, D.B.C., D.R.I., Mercyful Fate, King Diamind, Exodus, Dark Angel, Testament, Black Sabbath, Motörhead, and yes even early Mötley Crüe, so I guess this old stuff comes out in my music sometimes. There's a ton more but you guys get it. Though I basically like to take my biggest influences from early Entombed, early Deicide, early Celtic Frost, Dark Angel, early Slayer, and I have always been big time into Vital Remains and Necrophobic.

You are also writing the lyrics, from where do you find inspiration?

Devil Worship, satanism, paganism, pride in Aryan blood and death and destruction to my enemies!!!

You seem to have quite some hate towards the church and its followers, where does that come from?

I was forced into church when I was a young kid, and even then I saw behind the lies. Everyone was a hypocrite and I couldn't wait to get even with these bastards. I was not allowed to listen to metal, and later had never ever not once, received any encouragement growing up, just church, church, church, and if you didn't like it, you got your ass kicked! I found a true calling through metal and Satanism. Through Evil Incarnate I find revenge, by recruiting young metallers for satan, to hopefully one day soon destroy the christian pigs!

You have also written a track dealing with 9-11, will you tell of the inspiration to write 'Terror In The Holy Land (9-11)' and what you deal with in the lyrics?

We originally recorded that song for the Morbid Record's bands CD compilation, it was meant to be an exclusive song on that compilation, and give our fans a song to hear the new drummer Garrett Scanlan. We chose to write about the events on 9-11, because we were lied to in America and like everyone else we also fell for these lies. We at the time wanted to show our pride in being Americans and thought if we were under attack, we would stand behind our country's military. Just because we are un-happy with our current government's decisions doesn't mean we aren't American, so we wrote that song and it is very much about the events of that day, and the response of our military in the Middle East, and how the future might form.

Why is the lyric for the above mentioned track not included on the booklet?

Because like I said, we were lied to about what really happened, why we were being attacked, (support of Israel without a doubt) and we were not even going to put the song on the album originally. Though as we now are very angry with our government and these Jewish lobbyists in power in America, we choose to use it anyways. We did not create this country to go fighting all over the world, for Israel against their enemies and I hope something is done about this sad situation very soon.

How do you feel about the war on terror and all related to it?

I have often wondered if American CIA agents do pay Al Queda/Bin Laden and are the real global terrorists. It probably all has to do with communist spies in control of a global domination plan, to bring about a new world order in form of a police state under control of free masons and secret societies.

You are closing the album are 2 killer covers of Slayer's 'Piece By Piece' and Destruction's 'Tormentor', why did you choose to record these 2 and what do they mean to you?

I believe in covering classics so the next younger generation of metal heads will find out about bands like this. Most kids know of Slayer but rarely anything else from the mid to late 80's or even early 90's. The Destruction song is actually from a Dwell Records tribute album we were a part of.

How do you think of your 2 prior releases the demo collection "Blood Of The Saints" and "Blackest Hymns Of God's Disgrace"?

I like to know that people still can get our demos, so that's good. As these songs are thought by many to be our first album, as they are worthy of such a status, if they had been recorded in a better studio with a good budget. As for "Blackest Hymns Of God's Disgrace" I sometimes find it hard to listen to, as the mastering quality is complete shit with low volumes etc. and the vocals are slightly buried in my opinion. But both of these are soon going to be re-released with full killer mastering, artworks and layouts, with new and old un-seen photos from that period in time. I can't say from what label, but we have worked with them before and I'm hoping things work as planned with them.

You are right now working with Hells Headbangers Records, what do you expect from that collabaration?

I didn't really look for a label when I was busy moving, and I just asked them because they do professional work and are a true die hard label, with many cult bands/releases and vinyls. They enjoy Evil Incarnate very much and although, they can't get the album out there, like say Morbid Records or Dwell could, it is still great to work with them. I knew what to expect upon agreement and I am ok with that for now of course. I'm sure they're aware of that I'll eventually re-release the CD with a larger company in Europe or someplace else, once the 2 year contract they agreed upon is over.

How do you look upon the future of Evil Incarnate?

I can't wait to secure the new label and eventually record the next calbum, and there is much talk of a future vinyl release of "Blood Of The Saints" and "Waiting For His Return", that would be very cool. Also I want to get new shirts out there at the end of the year, to distributors at wholesale prices from me.

How is it going with writing material, are you working on new songs and how long do we have to hear new material from you? Hopefully not a 4 year wait again?

Hahaha!!! Yeah I hope not a 4 year wait either, that was a horrible stress. I dealt with so much bullshit with drummers, my guitar player and record labels, that I almost gave up, but luckily I kept on plugging away and the new album is out. Yes I'm working on tightening the loose ends on 3 new songs, I have 2 songs that are done and should have been on "Waiting For His Return" but didn't get recorded, and I have tons of extra guitar riffs, ideas etc. So if all goes well I won't have to wait more than a year or two for a follow up. Shaun from Putrid Pile said I can hire him to do my drum programming again if I ever needed him, so I'm not planning on waiting around for anyone, or dealing with any rock star bullshit, either you are with me or you get left behind. I can always get someone to play the songs live if a tour comes etc. so I'm not worrying anymore, I'm done with setbacks and bullshit!

Is the great cover artwork anything you have been a part of coming up with, or was it done when you found it and why did you pick exactly that piece for the cover?

The art was my idea going along with the title track lyrics and was done special for the alum by Juanjo Castellano from Spain. We are going to continue working with Juanjo.

Will you share you 5 all time favorite albums with the readers?

Entombed - Left Hand Path
Grave - You'll Never See…
Deicide - Deicide
Slayer - Hell Awaits
Celtic Frost - Morbid Tales

Thanks a lot for answering my questions, if you have anything to add, feel free to add it now!

The only things I want to add is that I need a new guitarist, so if you're in America, reading this and is near Chicago and want to audition, send your resume to me at endless_persecution@yahoo.com, check out our web site that should be finished ASAP. I am also the new bassist for the NSBM band Xenophobia which has a page on The Pagan Front somewhere, and we begin recording our debut album this fall. I am also filling in on bass for the hate rock band Minority Report. There will be future updates about all my works on the Evil Incarnate site ASAP.
