Cerebral Turbulency – Segregace K 0 [khaaranus productions 2008]

17 tracks in 27 minutes are what the Czech merchants of vivid explosive grinding metal is presenting us for with their newest and last album 'Segregace K 0', 17 headbashing moments of brutal thoughts and incantations of their musical minds.

As always we are getting bombarded with what seems like unstructured musical bombs consisting of grinding guitars, rumbling and pounding bass lines and pummeling drums, all from what seems like percussion to insane blasting, that takes no prisoners. The tracks are written intelligently and makes sense after a good deal of listens, the structure is easy to grasp, if you concentrate and give into Cerebral Turbulency's universe.

Where many grind bands fail, is in making the tunes sound very alike for the sake of consistency and sound, that has never been a problem in Cerebral Turbulency's world, as they doesn't give a fuck, they give their tunes a different identity and makes sure that it is recognizable with their crazy approach to the music and that they do well. 17 tracks and more or less 17 different takes and outcomes, very nice songwriting and musical work.

It is quite shame that the band has signed off, as they have made some good music during the years and as this new album from them are quite strong and enjoyable. If you have 30 minutes you don't know what to do with, give them to this album and come out on the other side with a clean mind and a musical experience richer. The band's blend of grind and core elements are well done and effective, and the insane blasting here and there do good. It would be priceless to use a day in the head of each of the member, while their creative minds are at work, creating musical madness.
