This topic is for the band really. We want to know things like, how did you hear about us, have you seen us live before and where did you, things like that. Also just introduce yourselves so everyone knows everyone.

I'll break the ice. My name is Bill. I first heard of the band when Dave Abell and I started jamming together again in his garage. After some weeks of this we dicided to give Gene Adam a call and see if he was interested in jamming again as well. He did and that was the basic begining. After a month or so we decided we needed a bassist and couldn't think of a better on than Richard Bateman. He joined and we became even stronger. We went through some time of jamming with no drummer or sit in drummers until we met Chris Maraman and then the line up was complete. A few months after this we went on tour up the east coast, did a show at the Chicago Metal Fest 5 (2005). When we returned home Gene decided that the band was to much to handle with his family requirments. We respect him for his decision and he will be missed. Dave has taken up the vocal duties now and he's doing great. We are heavier than ever. We've done shows now all over Florida....Miami. Orlando, Sarasota and Tampa. Our next show is in Tampa on July 22nd. We are in the studio this week completing bass tracks and guitar tracks. We well be completing our project the week following the show. The album is closer now than ever to being finished and we are , needless to say, very excited. Mark Prator has made us his first priority and that is the best news ever. So keep in touch here and all the updates and release dates will be coming soon. We thank you for you interest and support.

Stay Heavy.............Unearthed

Well, my name is Jeff and I'm an alcoholic....wait, woops wrong line......Hi my name is Jeff and I'm a metalhead. I've know of the existance of Bill Owen, Dave Abell, and Richard Bateman since well, since the early 90's when I got into Iced Earth, seeing that they were members of Purgatory, which later became Iced Earth.

I've known Bill for a while now, and am anxiously awaiting the new album!

Keep it Heavy!

I'm Aaron, better known around the net as Selp or Selppy. I heard about Unearthed because Bill posted on the old Iced Realm forums, so I knew him as skully long before I even knew his name was Bill.

I got to see them twice in Chicago, once at a bar show (where they cleared out all the soft-rock loving college yuppies! ) and then at Classic Metal Fest 5, which was a lot of fun. Luckily I got to see them still with Gene, and I got to meet all the guys and hang out with them for quite a while.

I've got their Fire In The Sky demo, as well as the Purgatory demos, and also my nice Unearthed shirt (along with my Winterfell shirt, it's the one most people compliment me on actually).

As for me myself, I don't have any musical talent that's as of yet known, so I'm relegated to helping music in other ways lol... I run http://www.MetalMontana.com, a site promoting local Montana bands and concerts. I like quite a few styles of metal (power, prog, classic, symphonic, classical, thrash, death thrash, and very little death), as well as many other styles of music (classical, oldies, classic rock, old country).

I live in one of the coolest places in the US, Montana. I go hiking all the time, and take tons of pictures too. I'm working on getting the best one's up in my online photo album, but unfortunately I tend to procrastinate as well haha. There's like 10 pictures up though, so if you want to check them out, they're here:

Well, in addition to my post, I'd like to say "Hi!!" to Selp, and add a bit more about myself. I have known Selp, Skully, Earthed Ice, Johnny Z, and Robb (of Winterfell) since the old Iced Realm days. I too also have the Purgatory demos, and the original Iced Earth "Enter The Relam" demo (NOT the one included in the Dark Genesis box set - an original!) No doubt, Bill will get tired of "being in the shadows" of Iced Earth (since I know other guys in his position aren't too fond of making their name off someone else's), so I will try and limit my talk of them here on this forum.

In addition to the little blurb about me, I want to add that I live just outside of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I also worked for an online radio station called CVC Radio, which, due to unforseen circumstances has been taken off the air temporarily (dont worry, we'll be back on soon!!). I also run my own music promotions company, which focuses on unsigned and independent metal acts. Most recently, I've been working very closely with Lance King, owner of Nightmare Records and vocalist of Pyramaze, Avian and Shining Star. Music is my passion but not my career, by profession and education I have been a chef for the past 5 years in a couple very high end restaurants, and am currently in negotiations with casinos and high end hotels for my services.

I've been studying the US Civil War for about 4 years now, and have stayed in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania for a month. I hope to return one day to open a small fine dining establishment. But ultimately, I am hoping to move to Sweden, Norway or Denmark where their food service industry is second to none, and I can also be very close to the music that I love so much, and many of the friends I've made through my music related jobs.

Here is a list of a couple bands that you should all check out:

Winters Bane - www.wintersbane.net or www.myspace.com/pyramaze
Pyramaze - www.pyramaze.com or www.myspace.com/pyramaze
Kill Procedure www.myspace.com/killprocedure
Beyond Twilight - www.beyondtwilight.dk or www.myspace.com/beyondtwilight
Shining Star - www.myspace.com/shiningstar7
Warmachine - www.warmachineonline.com
Fate - www.fate.dk
Winterfell - www.winterfell.org
Manticora - www.manticora.dk or www.myspace.com/manticorarocks

AND PLEASE CHECK OUT MY GOOD FRIENDS AT:

So, the evil messican counter attacks!

I'm Rob from Mexico city. I've never seen the band live, but I have a good friendship with Bill and talk to the other guys in the band when they are hanging out in the msn with Bill, anyway, I'll be around.

Keep up with the great music guys!

Hi, my name is Jan and I'm from Holland. I know Bill and most of the guys here from Tobi's site. I saw the very first gig that Unearthed played in April 2005 at the Brass Mug and I flew to Tampa for that occasion. I spend 10 days with the guys and stayed at Richards place. (Many thanks to Amy and Zak as well) I'm one of the biggest Iced Earth, Putgatory, Unearthed and related bands collectors. Maybe some of you knew me for doing the collectibles site on Realm. In my collection I have some unique items, thanks to the guys!!
Can't wait for the album to come out and I hope to see the guys play in Europe or else I'll just fly to the US again to see them.

Hey sepply, thanks for the hello. I read your introduction again and I saw you have some nice Purgatory stuff. I also got some nice Purgatory and Iced Earth and Unearthed stuff from Bill, Dave Gene, Richard and Chris. There's only one item that I want to let you know about. From Richard I got the original 4 track master tape from the very first Purgatory demo. It's the only one exsisting. I'm very proud to have that in my collection among lots of other stuff I bought and got from Bill, Dave, Richard, Gene and Chris. As a going away present Bill and Ken gave the DVD from that very first concert I saw at the Brass Mug on March 12th 2005. Man, I had a killer week of metal with the guys and I'll always be thankfull to Bill, Dave, Gene, Chris, Ken and specially to Richard, Amy and Zak for letting me stay at their house. (This is for Zak.....The Candy man says hello and I'll bring you some more candy and another M&M doll riding a bike with sidecar on my next visit). I'm very happy that I found out that this forum was here. Thanks to Bill and Anders for helping me get on it.

Hope I didn't bother you with this story. :rockdevil:
