Falconer

Falconer is an interesting band from Sweden playing power metal with strong melodies and some folk influences. Their new album "Grime Vs Grandeur" comes out today actually! So what could possibly fit better than asking the band for an interview? Fortunately guitarist Stefan Weinerhall was kind enough to answer my questions.
Full Moon Lycanthropy

Most of you might have heard about Exekrator, the rather special but great Danish band. One of the members in that band is Henrik Engkjær, the mainman behind Full Moon Lycanthropy. Before he send me a copy of the band's latest release, the split 7" with Finnish Conjuration, I wasn't aware of Full Moon Lycanthropy. And the horror, what a shame, a great and very interesting band revealed itself, as I listened to the 7" and even more, when I got hold of the band's demos. Curious as I am I got hold of Henrik and asked him a lot of questions and it all turned in to a pretty interesting interview.
For Ruin

For Ruin an exciting new band hailing from Ireland. I received the demo "Shade" late last year, and on that demo, the band displayed a style rather hard to explain, though you can read the review of it here and get a small impression of it. That demo was recorded by mainman John G. Murphy, though now, after the questions to this interview was made, John got a full line-up assembled for For Ruin. The band now consist of drummer Steve O' Connel, bassist Ian O' Donnabháin, guitarist Ollie O' Shea and of course John handling guitar and vocals. John and me got a good long chat about the music and what the band is about…

Vratyas Vrakyas has been making viking-influenced metal for quite a while now and has a solid fanbase supporting Falkenbach. Late last year the band's newest effort "Heralding - The Fireblade" was released, a new recording consisting of old material. The un-recorded material that has been referred to as the "Fireblade" album, which now has been manifested into a great piece of music. I got hold of Vratyas Vrakyas who answered my bunch of questions and has made it possible for us all to get a bit further into the mysterious world of Falkenbach.
Fate

The Danish melodic hard rock mastodon has returned with a comeback album with quite an impact. To be honest I don't remember much of them from their heydays, but "V" took me to another world. I got in touch with bassist Peter Steincke, who answered most of the questions and Per Johansson (his answers are marked with his name in front of them, ed) to answer the questions about the great lyrics on the album. So read on and get a lot of info on the new album and a little of what to expect of the band in the future.
