Blackhorned
Apr 15, 2005
by Anders
I have personally been possessed by Blackhorned for a couple of years now. It all started with Atziluth send me some of his demos and got me hooked on his grim black metal. Since then I have eagerly followed the band and the music has only gotten better and more evil. Blackhorned is black metal and if you want to know more about the style, the band and Blackhorned’s releases, just start reading…
Blind Stare
May 19, 2005
by Stigma (previous writer)
Blind Stare is a new exceptional good melodic death metal band from Finland. They incorporate orchestral elements very beautifully and Blind Stare's debut album "Symphony of Delusions" are getting really great reviews here in Scandinavia. In this interview I have chatted with the growler in the band; Eino Tuominen.
Bloodaxe

by Anders
Canadian Bloodaxe released the second album “Raping The Ancient” last fall, and as soon as the chance appeared, I had a chat with mainman Nordavinden about the band, his music and looks at a couple of issues. As always is Nordavinden a man with strong and wholehearted opinions, now you have been warned!
Biomechanical
Jul 10, 2005
by Anders
When I popped Biomechanical's album "The Empires Of The Worlds" in my player, was it the first time that I laid ear to the band. The band is rather new, they was formed in 2001 and they have prior released the album "Eight Moons". Biomechanical is mixing old classic heavy metal and heavy groovy thrash, pieced together in bombastic arrangements. The path the band has chosen is rather interesting, and I am sure we will hear a lot more of this British quintet in the future. I hooked up with the vocalist and main song writer John K and had a good talk about the band, their inspiration for making music, their new album, how they ended up on the Earache Records imprint Elitist Records and much more.
Battlelore

by Tordah
The Finnish fantasy heavy metal band Battlelore is now ready with their new album "Third Age From The Sun". The band is heavily influenced by Tolkien's work and are known for spicing their heavy metal up with black metal elements, growls and synths. Guitarist and composer Jussi Rautio answered the questions.
Beecher
Nov 9, 2005
by Anders
Once in a while an insane band with an insane style shows itself on the scene, such a band is Beecher and such a release is "His Elegy, His Autopsy", which the British band released earlier this year on Earache Records. A blend of punk, hardcore and technical metal straight in your face, relentless and demaning attention and a response. I got in touch with vocalist Edward Godby to hear what drives the band forward.
Blot Mine
Dec 7, 2005
by Anders
Blot Mine one of the more interesting and special black metal bands out there, if they can be called black metal at all, instead of the usual misanthropic and/or satanic view at things, they are looking for a more profound answer to all questions. One thing is sure though, and that is that the music has its roots deep within the traditions of Scandinavian black metal. Earlier this year the band released the long awaited follow-up to "Porphyrogenesis", entitled "Ashcloud" a great and captivating album. I got a good talk with bassist Thorn about the band, their music and philosophy, and among other things got the quite sad news about "Ashcloud" most likely is their last album.
BoltThrower
Dec 13, 2005
by Anders
Few bands can brag about having the impact and legendary status as the British death metal icons BoltThrower. Next year the band will celebrate their 2oth year annivesary and they are right now ready with their new effort "Those Once Loyal", yet a crushing album from their side. I got a good talk with vocalist and lyrical mastermind Karl Willetts about the new album, what keeps him going and the band's glorious past among other things.
Bestial Mockery
Feb 28, 2006
by Anders
The maniacal Swedish chainsaw-infested black/thrash armageddon-squad Bestial Mockery, consisting of vocalist Master Motorsåg, guitarist Doomanfanger, guitarist Ted Bundy, bassist DevilPig and drummer Warslaughter, is now ready with their new full length album "Gospel Of The Insane", released by Osmose Productions. Yet an album filled with hate and disgust and raw and aggressive metal! To find out what was going on in the world of Bestial Mockery, I hooked up with Warslaughter and got a good chat about the new album, the prior, how the band makes it music, the current muhammad crisis and what to expect of the future.
Battered
May 27, 2006
by Anders
Battered the new Norwegian band featuring 3 members of the now disbanded Einherjer and 2 members from Headblock, did earlier this year release their debut full length album "Battered". A killer lection in how to do old school thrash/crossover metal with feel and energy. In this connection I hooked up with drummer Gerhard Storesund and got a good talk about the album and where the band finds their inspiration for their hard-hitting metal attack!
Bludgeon
Aug 3, 2006
by Anders
The hardhitting band from Chicago has returned with a furious attack of hardcore infused thrash metal. The new album "World Controlled" is an aggressive lesson in how to deliver highly effective and hardhitting hardcore and thrash metal. I got in touch with vocalist and guitarist Marc Duca to hear what the band had been up to since their last album "Crucify The Priest" and what the new album is all about.
